The Winds of Change are Blowing!

Writer: Touching His HemTouching His Hem

Earlier this week it was extremely windy here in Hawaii. This is so not our normal for this time of year. It is normally very rainy, but the wind was blowing abnormally strong all week.

We had our connect group on Wednesday evening. When I got there they were sharing about various things. I had worked late and so they had discussed the teaching for the night, but I was anxious to hear everyone share. We meet in an outside mall in their food court and that wind was blowing extremely hard. I wanted to get my jacket from my vehicle, but I did not want to miss anyone sharing.

Each woman at the table shared what they have learned , as I listened to them share I was so excited to see them share the goodness of God in their lives.

At the end, the group leader asked me to pray and I heard these words in my spirit, “The Winds of Change are Blowing!”  My spirit got stirred!! I felt the Holy Spirit and I begin to pray in tongues. I felt the Lord wanted to do more. I prayed and closed the session, but the Holy Spirit was not done.

We tried to leave, but the Holy Spirit took over. Prophesy begin to flow from our leader and the Holy Spirit was doing a great work of heart healing. His presence was so thick.

Have you felt it? The winds of change are stirring, shifting things in the spirit. God is moving, and He’s calling His people to lean in and trust Him like never before.

In Ecclesiastes 3:1, we are reminded:

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.

Seasons are changing, and God is positioning you for what’s next. The comfort of the familiar may be challenged, but don’t resist the wind — it’s not here to harm you; it’s here to move you.

What Does the Wind of Change Mean for You?

Divine Realignment: God is shifting things to align you with His purpose.

New Opportunities: Doors you never imagined are opening.

Letting Go: The old must be released for the new to come forth.

Just as the wind clears away debris, God may be calling you to release old mindsets, unhealthy relationships, or fear that’s kept you stagnant.

Let’s Journal and Reflect

• What is God asking you to release in this season?

• Are you embracing the wind of change or resisting it out of fear?

• How can you position yourself to hear His voice clearly during this time?

What Now?

🔹 Spend intentional time in prayer, asking the Lord to reveal what He’s shifting in your life.

🔹 Meditate on Isaiah 43:19 — “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”

🔹 Write down what you sense God speaking and step forward in faith.

Prayer for Embracing Change

Father, I thank You for the winds of change that are blowing in my life. Help me to trust You in the shifting seasons. Where You are leading me, I will follow. Give me courage to release what no longer serves Your purpose and faith to embrace the new. I surrender my plans and desires to You. Let Your wind carry me into the fullness of what You have prepared. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The winds of change are not here to destroy — they are here to propel you forward. Will you trust God in the shift?
