God Encounters are Glory Encounters

Encountering God is intentional. In His Word it says, if you draw close to me then I will draw close to you (paraphrase). For me personally, this week has been filled with God encounters and God winks.
I have been very intentional with my time in His presence and as I have studied more on intimacy with Him, He is literally making His presence known.
As I sit with my journal in hand, listening to instrumental worship, the very tangible presence of God fills my living room. It is like a warm blanket wrapped around me. I weep because I know that His glory is filling the atmosphere. You see when you earnestly seek Him, you will find Him.
When you truly encounter God, you are never the same. Every moment in His presence leaves a mark—healing the broken, lifting the weary, and igniting purpose within. These are not ordinary moments—they are glory encounters.
Moses encountered God on Mount Sinai and came down glowing with His glory (Exodus 34:29). Isaiah encountered God in a vision and was commissioned for divine purpose (Isaiah 6:1-8). Saul encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus and was transformed into Paul, the apostle (Acts 9:3-6).
When you position your heart for intimacy with God, He meets you. His glory fills the empty places, restores what’s broken, and awakens destiny. A true God encounter doesn’t just touch you-it transforms you.
Exodus 33:18-19 (NKJV): And he said, ‘Please, show me Your glory.’ Then He said, ‘I will make all My goodness pass before you…
2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV): And we all… are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
John 17:22 (ESV): The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one.
Reflective Questions:
1. Have you encountered God’s glory in a personal way? What did it shift in your life?
2. What areas of your life need a fresh touch of His presence today?
3. How can you make space daily for divine encounters?
4. Are you expecting God to reveal His glory in the midst of your current situation?
What Next:
This week, set aside intentional time to seek Him—not just His hand, but His heart. Ask boldly like Moses, “Show me Your glory.”
