Have you ever found yourself asking, “I have my assignment, I have my instructions… now what?” You know what God has called you to do, you’ve prayed about it, and you’re expecting change—but is it really that simple?
I used to think so. I believed that if I prayed, things would just happen. But then I realized I was missing a crucial piece: faith while running the race.
Think about an athlete preparing for competition. They train, they stretch, they endure long hours of drills, pushing past exhaustion. But on race day, when they see their competition, doubt can creep in. Did they train harder than me? Are they faster than me? At that moment, the athlete must rely on their training—and more importantly, their trainer.
For a long time, I put my faith in my own abilities. Big mistake. Because let’s be honest—we get weary. We get distracted. We battle fear. But faith in God’s training and His Word? That’s unshakable.
Colossians 2:6-7 says:
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
When our faith is rooted in Him, we gain the strength to move forward—no matter the obstacles. That’s what took my assignment to the next level, and I believe it will do the same for you.
So let me ask you: Are you trusting in your own strength, or are you standing firm in the One who called you?
