Have you been in a season of waiting? It almost feels as though what you have been promised will never be fulfilled. Do you know that during this season of waiting the Lord is causing great changes to take place? He is doing this so that your promise will not only come to pass, but you will prepared to receive the promise

I gave birth to four children and each pregnancy was different. With the first two pregnancies each child came early, but that third pregnancy was overdue.

I was expecting this child to come early or be on time, but no she came in her own sweet time and believe me I was ready for her to come. I was prepared and past ready.

You see when you are in expectation of the promises you prepare. You make sure that you are ready to receive it.

The Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments and be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. Exodus 19:10-11

Just as Moses and the children of Israel had to prepare to receive the visitation of the Lord on Mount Sinai, we must also prepare for whatever God has promised.

That could mean working on your heart. Receiving inner healing and deliverance, which is vital for all believers to remove any sin issues that would not move you forward toward your promises.

During this time of preparation, God may have you work in areas of ministry. This could be inside or outside of the four walls of the church. The key is be open to whatever He shows you. Waiting does not mean sit still and wait. No. It means wait with purpose.

During my time of waiting for each child, I prepared. I made sure I had what I needed so when the baby came I had what I needed to take care of the baby and myself.

Are you ready for your promises? You may say a resounding yes, but are you sure. Begin to ask Holy Spirit, am I ready to receive my promise?

The promise will come, but we want be ready to receive it.

Prayer~Father, we thank you for your mercy and your grace towards us. You are such a good Father. Lord, help us to prepare for our promise. Lord, if there is an area in our hearts that still need healing show us Father. Lord, whatever our hands find to do we will do it. We will be not idle as we wait for the promise. We seek you continually for direction Father. You are our Abba. We give you praise honor and glory Father while we wait. In Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
